Your request reaches a Flex moving consultant immediately, and you get a written moving quote within 60 minutes during office hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 8 pm, weekends 9 am to 5 pm. A request sent outside those hours is handled first thing at the next opening.
The quote spells out the crew size, the truck, whether the job is priced by the hour or as a fixed price, and everything included: blankets, straps, mattress bags, basic disassembly and reassembly, insurance. There are no hidden fees. If a detail is missing to price the job fairly, the consultant calls you before sending anything rather than guessing.

What should you have ready for an accurate moving quote?
An accurate quote comes down to five things: both addresses, the date or a range of dates, the size of the home or a list of the large pieces, the access at each address, and the services you want. The more complete the form, the firmer the 60-minute answer.
- Origin and destination addresses. The neighbourhood is enough for a first price; the exact address is used to plan truck parking.
- Moving date. If it is flexible, say so: a weekday or mid-month date is easier to get, and rates are higher from May 20 to July 10.
- Size. A 3 1/2, a 5 1/2, a two-storey house, or simply the count of large furniture pieces and boxes.
- Access. Floor, elevator or stairs, the distance from the door to where the truck can park, and any elevator booking the building requires.
- Special items and services. Piano, safe, artwork, appliances to disconnect, storage between two homes, full or partial packing.

When is a free in-home estimate needed?
The in-home estimate is free and is offered when the move warrants it: a house on several floors, an office or a store, a long distance route, or items that need specific planning. For a standard apartment, the form and a phone call are almost always enough.
During the visit, the estimator walks each room with you, notes what goes, what stays and what needs packing, and checks the access. You then receive a written quote based on what they saw rather than on a description. The consultant offers the visit when it is useful; you can also ask for it in the Comments field of the form.

How is a long distance moving quote put together?
A long distance move is quoted one of two ways: a fixed price with a set budget of labour hours for loading and unloading, or an hourly rate plus travel time and a fuel surcharge. The consultant explains both and tells you which one fits your inventory.
